This is a summit shot from the first time I guided Mont Blanc in 1998.
Above the Sea
Although I still guide alpine climbing, I have been growing my guiding business in Mediterranian rock climbing. Improving your rock climbing is a great way to improve your skill level for harder Alpine routes, and it is a lot of fun. This shot is from May 2008 in Sardinia. You rappell to the water's edge and climb 5 piches back up on this beautiful 5.8.
I am an American internationally certified UIAGM/IFMGA mountain and ski guide. Although focusing the last 10 years on guiding in the Alps, I have 22 years of guiding experience, including numerous ascents of Denali in Alaska and big walls in Yosemite. I have climbed extensively in the Alps from the Matterhorn and Eiger in Switzerland throughout the Mont Blanc range, all the way down to limestone crags in southern France, Italy and Spain.
